The Brainwavz BLU-200 is even though made up of plastic, It is of high quality and doesn’t breaks even if you drop it multiple times. The design has changed a bit from the previous generation.

On the left earpiece you get a Brainwavz logo embossed in rubber while on the right Earpiece, you get a USB port to charge the Earphones. There is a rubber flap protecting it from dust and sweat. Even though the earphones have a good battery life, they are very light which increases the comfort level.

Wire

The wires of the headphones are tangle free and are made such that it causes no irritations, I stopped using my previous earphones from sound magic because of the same reason.

Sound quality

There used to be a believe that Bluetooth earphones do not sound as good as the wired ones but well not this time, first of all, the Bass on these are phenomenal, personally as a Bass lover, I enjoyed listing to them. I wasn’t the fan of the lows in BLU-100, but Brainwavz did it.

You can easily listen any song profile be it rock, jazz or pop However I feel they are more meant for EDM and Hip Hops. There was no distortion even at full volume. The mids sounded a little shallow while the highs sounded sufficient for someone like me too :p.

Comfort

Even though these are not specially made for sports use but I am pretty sure 80% od the buyers will be using this in the gym, So for that, the earphones need to be comfortable as well as they should not easily fall out from the ear. The headset comes with ear fins which make sure that the earphones don’t fall easily. You also get a set of comply ear tips. These are made up of foam and changes its shape in the ear. It takes a shape of your ear canal when inserted making a tight and snug fit.

Buttons

The BLU-200 comes with three buttons, Volume +, pause/play and Volume -. The BLU-200 also comes with a microphone which is on the same console. The thing which I didn’t like on BLU-100 which is still present in this one is the white LED.

It is the tiniest LED I have ever seen. A lot of times I just am not able to find on which side is the LED. I would have liked if it was on the front side just beside the pause button.

Battery

The earphones take about an hour and a half to charge from zero to hundred percent. The notification light turns off when the battery is full. The battery life on these were about 5 hours which isn’t the largest upgrade ever but is still decent enough.

Conclusion

The Brainwavz Blu-200 comes with an excellent build quality, they sound great and are comfortable too. There is also a battery upgrade from the previous generation.
