Xiaomi launches Redmi 2 and Mi Pad in India : Quick Hands On


Yesterday Xiaomi launched their new budget device Redmi 2 and and budget Tablet Mi Pad in New Delhi, India. Redmi 2 was launched 3 months ago in China, thus becomes Xiaomi Fastest phone which came to India after it’s launch. In the event Hugo Barra first wrapped off the curtains from Redmi 2 telling about its Features and Specification.

As we can see above, In all the devices, Redmi 2 seems to have great specs and is best in all of the devices in its segment. Xiaomi Priced Redmi 2 at Rs 6,999. Hugo also said that it was to be priced at 6,499 but due to new budget, the tax has increased and they have to make it to 6,999. We did the Unboxing of the device and you can see it here-

As you would have seen till now that Redmi 2 performs Great. Here are the Specs of the same:

There is also a Redmi 2 limited edition which comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory. It is not available right now but will be very soon as per Hugo Barra.



Mi Pad

The Mi Pad is one of the most succesful device of Xiaomi, it has a tegra K1 processor with 2GB of RAM and a 2K display. It is light, Good looking and the size is also just perfect. Mi Pad has specs very similar to nexus 9 but with just a price of 12,999. It has a great Camera and great speakers too.



It runs MIUI 6 with bigger Icons and more spacing. With the 2K display, the Images look sharp and overall screen looks good. Xiaomi has learned from their mistakes, the capacitive touch buttons are backlight.



The experience is fast and smooth. It runs on Android 4.4.4. Here are the specs
