In almost every Asus Zenfone’s article, everyone emphasises on the 4GB RAM in it, Zenfone 2 is a lot more than that, Today I would be telling you some awesome things about the Zenfone 2 which you can’t really find on other phones. I would only be concentrating on things which affect the daily life of a user.
1. Asus Zenfone Flip cover
Seeing the title it may not seem to be a very interesting thing about a phone but belive me it is. ZenUI has been refined a lot for the Flip cover. Instead of just seeing the time, you have got much more options. From the mini display you get on the cover, you can change music, toggle sound profiles, flight mode, flashlight, can accept calls, open the camera and you can even change the theme of that window at that very moment.
2. Android 5.0
Till April 2015 only 12% of all the android phones had Lollipop in it. lollipop has a lot advantages over kitkat or jellybean. With Android 5.0 you get material design which looks but also gives you a chance to show off in front of your friends :p. Lollipop has ART architecture which means you won’t be having any problem running what so ever app making it future proof too.
Asus has been providing updates of the Zenfone 2 pretty fast which means there won’t be any software optimisation issue. With Android 5.0 Lollipop you get a new style of notifications too with the floating notifications with which whenever a notification or a call comes it will come as a notification on the upper part of the screen and won’t affect your work.
3. Camera UI and Dual tone flash
I have been using phones of different price ranges, from Rs 4,000 to Rs 80,000. Zenfone 2’s Camera UI is one of the most amazing UI ever. You have more than 10 modes to choose from and they are very effective. One of the best mode is the manual mode in which you can manually set mostly everything, from colour temperature to the focal length.
Zenfone 2 also features a Dual Tone flash which helps in capturing realistic images with a graded colour.
ZenFone 2 has a Yellow and an orange flash. The orange flash really helps in capturing that perfect colour shots. You would be seeing that in our full review.
4. Dual Sim and Memory expansion
It is extremely rare to see a mid ranger flagship which is capable of having 2 sims. Zenfone 2 is a dual sim phone in which the first sim is 4G and the other sim is 2G. It also has a memory expansion slot which can support upto 64GB. Both of these things help a lot as even if you are not a traveller you can still add another sim which offers you low tariff rate with your primary sim. Also a lot of times some providers have some weak signal areas, there you can use the other sim. Even though Zenfone 2 has 32GB/ 64GB variants but still a memory card comes handy when you have to copy your data to your computer or laptop.
